Strategic Objectives

The 2023-2026 Strategy focuses on the following Key areas:

Building and strengthening peace building infrastructure and mechanisms

To contribute to the capacitation of state and non-state peace building infrastructure and mechanisms in the country and beyond through training, including training of trainers (ToT), for improved knowledge and skills in (a) conflict prevention, management, resolution, transformation and healing (CPMRTH), and (b) gender responsive peacebuilding (GRPB).

 

Peace education, dispute resolution, transformation and healing.

To contribute to national healing and cohesion through peace education and transformative conflict resolution in communities, state and non-state institutional settings including CSOs and especially FBOs.

To offer peace education and transformative conflict resolution services to state and non-state actors at regional and international levels.

Conflict preparedness and response systems.

To pilot a Conflict Early Warning and Emergency Response System (CEWERS) in two selected districts where ECLF is already working with communities and use pilot results to influence uptake and replication by other peace building mechanisms in the country leading to the establishment of a national level CEWERS.
