ECLF functions predominantly at local level as it is convinced that significant initiatives especially those that relate to peace must start from the bottom going up. This approach has seen the forum reaching out to many communities in Zimbabwe with its peace building program on CPMRT. The community response has been significant in that where such sensitization sessions, the work of the local peace committees is amazing as they continue the peace agenda. The local community processes however need to be supported by systems and structures. ECLF also engages with various tiers of leadership and duty bearers to ensure that the local level and relevant structures support the community peace processes.
