Assistant To The Executive Director - Rev. Dr. Kupakwashe Mtata
Rev. Dr. Kupakwashe Mtata is Assistant to the Executive Director of the Ecumenical Church Leaders Forum. He is a former fellow of the Bayreuth Academy of Advanced African Studies, at which he worked in the project “Future Africa”, and an alumnus of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS), University of Bayreuth, Germany, where he graduated in 2017 with a Dr. Phil. in Religionswissenschaft. He has conducted research in Zimbabwe, Kenya and Tanzania.
In 2011 he obtained his Master of Arts in Religionswissenschaft from the University of Bayreuth. In 2006, after the completion of his Bachelor of Theology Honours Degree with the University of KwaZulu Natal, he was ordained as a minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe.
His interests are in facilitating positive impact of academic reflections in society.
